Role

• Part of the team that designs and operates NKS and other managed services.
• Operate and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters (internal + customer-facing), ideally with Rancher/RKE2.
• Manage and optimize workloads across cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Cloudflare), including Direct Connect / private networking.
• Enhance observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and improve monitoring/alerting practices.
• Harden infrastructure security across cloud, Kubernetes, and networking layers.
• Provide on-call support for Nirvana services (NKS, managed databases, internal services we operate).
• Work with Sales Engineering on custom customer deployments, enabling adoption and integration.
• Improve developer enablement by providing environments, databases, and tooling to support internal teams.
• Evaluate and test cloud-native products on Nirvana (e.g. Altinity, Clickbench, ScyllaDB) and create guides/documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to align infrastructure with customer and business goals.
• Contribute to infrastructure security, compliance, and best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotation, support incident response, and maintain clear documentation.

Requirements

• Fluent in English; based in the Americas or Europe for timezone overlap.
• 5+ years in cloud infrastructure; 4+ years operating Kubernetes in production; ideally including Rancher/RKE2.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes internals (scheduling, CRDs, CNI/CSI).
